It doesn’t matter if you are just curious, want to have a fun experience, or you want to start developing a personal safety plan for you and your family. Our experienced instructors are always excited to be your guide and mentor during your journey of owning a firearm.

A beginner Handgun Class that is Fun and Informative!   Whether you’re brand new to the world of firearms or need a guide to start your journey, we at RDA have you covered.  Handgun Use & Safety  introduces the student to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely.  The course is set up to be a fun and informative class.  Ask questions, get answers, learn how to safely handle a handgun and when you are ready, we go to the range to have more fun!  There is not a lot of shooting in this class, just enough to show you that firearms are safe and you are capable.   This is the ideal course for new owners or those considering the purchase of a handgun.  Students who attend this course will have the fundamental skills needed to ensure that you are ready for your next class.  

This class is performance-based rather than objective-based, focusing on improving your individual performance instead of meeting some specific criteria for an instructor that doesn't know you. The goal of the class is to make you better by the end of the day.

• A functional and reliable handgun
• A holster that secure firmly to sturdy belt
• Pants that have belt loops to receive the belt and sew down holster firmly
• Eye and ear protection.
• 100 rounds of factory loaded ammunition
• Clothing suitable to strenuous activity

• Brimmed ball cap
• Water, snack and any personal items you require
• Glasses or contacts ( If you wear them regularly)
