The Concealed Defensive Handgun class is a 4 hour course for CCW holders and those carrying a concealed weapon for self-defense. The training is split 25% actively learning and 75% actively shooting on a smokeless laser range.  We use simulated range, video, and scenario based learning to develop your concealed pistol manipulation skills, enhance your basic pistol marksmanship skills, and develop key decision making abilities. This class is not to earn your CCW permit - it's to learn how to develop the mindset and use a concealed weapon.  

When seconds count, the student must put their situational awareness skills to the test to determine if it is a shoot or no-shoot scenario and act accordingly 

This class is performance-based rather than objective-based, focusing on improving your individual performance instead of meeting some specific criteria for an instructor that doesn't know you. The goal of the class is to make you better by the end of the day.  

There is no live fire in this course.

•Building technique to improve fundamentals: grip, stance, sight picture, sight alignment, trigger control, follow-through, natural point of aim

•Drawing the weapon from concealment proficiently

•Enhancing skills to shoot accurately, including quickly and with multiple rounds 

•Combat marksmanship

•Engaging multiple and/or moving targets

•Positional shooting and moving in all directions with weapon system deployed

•Emergency/ Tac reloads

•Retention shooting techniques for close quarter engagements

•Use of cover and concealment

•Positive Identification and back drop considerations when engaging

•Shooting multiple rounds while engaging multiple threats

•Dryfire training techniques to practice at home

• A sturdy belt
• Pants that have belt loops to receive the belt and sew down holster firmly
• Clothing suitable to strenuous activity

• Water, snack and any personal items you require
• Glasses or contacts ( If you wear them regularly)
